Farm Fur

Other than Wild Fur, we also purchase farm fur at the international auction house – Saga Furs. Saga Furs cooperates with Finnish authorities, the EU, and veterinarians specializing in fur farming.  It has launched a unique certification programme for farm fur since 2005 to ensure fulfillment of animal welfare in the certified farms.  Their standards are even higher than the requirement of EU regulations.

Furthermore, the certification programme regulates fur farms and farm environment management to be environmental friendly and sustainable.  What is more, Saga Furs Certification also includes the WelFur protocols, which is an additional science-based animal welfare assessment which have been done by seven European universities.  Therefore, fur skins from them are Certified, Traceable and Sustainable.
